Native 2K and speed improvements

Native 2K resolution means V8.1 generates images at 2048px on the long edge without upscaling — the output is produced at full quality at generation time rather than being upscaled from a lower-resolution base. Generation speed is 3 to 4 times faster than V7, reducing the wait time for a standard 4-image grid from roughly 30–45 seconds to under 15 seconds for most prompts. This speed increase significantly improves iteration speed during the creative exploration phase.

Raw mode

Raw mode shifts V8.1 toward more literal prompt interpretation — reducing the aesthetic "opinionatedness" that Midjourney models are known for. In Raw mode, the model applies less automatic stylization and renders prompts more directly as described.
