Writesonic started life as an AI copywriting tool, but the current product is positioned as an AI Search Visibility Platform focused on generative engine optimization (GEO). The core job now is tracking where and how your brand shows up inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
The latest version brings AI Article Writer 6.0, which uses a recursive research-outline-write loop rather than a single prompt-to-text pass. Under the hood the platform was rebuilt on a new in-house Writesonic model alongside integrated GPT-5 and Claude 4.5, and the company says more than 20 features were refreshed in this cycle.
Key capabilities include the GEO tracking dashboard, an Action Center that flags missing prompts and citation opportunities and tells you what to do about them, dedicated AI agents for SEO, content and LinkedIn, and sentiment analysis of how your brand is described in AI responses.
On pricing, the official site lists Starter around $79/mo, Basic around $199/mo, Growth around $399/mo (marked most popular) and a custom Enterprise tier, with roughly 20% off on annual billing. There is a free trial with full access and no card required, plus a limited free tier for basic SEO and content tools.
Be aware that pricing is genuinely confusing: the site is ambiguous about monthly versus annual rates, and at least one third-party source lists a different ladder (Lite $49, Standard $99, Professional $249, Advanced $499), which suggests real monthly rates may be higher than the headline numbers imply. The entry point is also far above Writesonic's old cheap plans.
This platform suits SEO teams, agencies and marketers who care about brand visibility inside AI search and want writing plus tracking in one place. If you just need occasional cheap AI copy, the current pricing and GEO focus will feel like overkill.
