Zapier is a cloud automation service that links the apps you already use so data and tasks move between them without manual copy-paste. You build workflows called Zaps, which run on triggers and actions, and you can also create Tables, Interfaces, and Chatbots inside the same account.
The platform has shifted toward AI. Zapier Copilot, listed in Beta on every plan, turns plain-language descriptions into working Zaps, Tables, Interfaces, Chatbots, and Agents. Zapier Agents are AI teammates that can take action without waiting for a trigger, and Zapier MCP exposes Zapier's triggers and actions to outside models such as Claude and GPT, with each MCP tool call drawing from the plan's task quota.
Integration coverage stands at 9,000+ apps, on top of multi-step Zaps, filters, paths, formatting, and webhooks, plus the Tables and Interfaces tools that push Zapier closer to a lightweight app builder than a simple connector.
Pricing is freemium. The Free plan is $0/month with 100 tasks per month, unlimited two-step Zaps, Tables, and Forms, and a limited-message version of Copilot. Professional starts at $19.99/month billed annually (or $29.99/month billed monthly), with 750 tasks that scale up to 2 million tasks. Team starts at $69/month billed annually (or $103.50/month billed monthly) for 25 users with 2,000 tasks at entry. Enterprise pricing is custom. The AI products are billed separately: Agents (a free tier with 400 activities/month, a Pro tier at $33.33/month billed annually, and custom Enterprise pricing) and Chatbots (a free tier with 2 bots, a Pro tier at $13.33/month billed annually, an Advanced tier at $66.67/month billed annually, and custom pricing).
The main limitation is cost at scale: tasks are metered, and busy workflows or the separately billed AI products can add up quickly. Advanced logic can get fiddly, and autonomous Agents and Copilot output still benefit from human review before you rely on them unattended.
Zapier fits teams and solo operators who want to automate across many SaaS tools without code, and who want AI to draft and maintain those automations. If you need only one or two heavy, high-volume pipelines, a cheaper task model elsewhere may serve you better.
